—Shipping Policy

Where do you ship from?
Your product will be shipped to you through either the Philadelphia area or wherever Shopify makes the magic happen (for clothing).          

What shipping company do you use?
Most of our packages are shipped through the USPS. Occasionally they are shipped through FedEx. There is no way to choose which; sorry about that.

How long will it take to receive my order?
Generally your order will take 2-4 weekdays to process, then shipping will take about 5 business days. If it’s the holiday season or there’s crazy weather events or a zombie apocalypse, it may take a few days longer. 

When your order is fulfilled and shipped, you will receive notification with a tracking number. Keep an eye out so you don’t miss the delivery. Ask your neighbors to keep an eye out too (blast you, porch bandits!).

*We can’t guarantee when your package will arrive. Once they’ve shipped, we’re all at the mercy of the carriers. As consumers we, too, hate the waiting, hate late deliveries, and hate porch bandits. None of these things are under our control as sellers either, and that is just maddening. We don’t have any contacts within the postal system, so the best we can all do is sit back and keep checking the tracking. Or maybe you can bake cookies for your local delivery person in advance, and sort of cultivate a relationship in preparation for this all-important delivery.

Do you ship outside of the US?
Not yet. It’s on the list. The list is very long. There are different rules for different countries. It’s harder than you think, believe us.

Do you offer next day expedited shipping?
Generally no. If you have some kind of onesie or conversation deck emergency, contact us and we’ll see what we can do.

I did what you asked and checked the tracking. It says it was delivered, but it most certainly was not. What happens now?

Oof, isn’t that the worst? And it feels like it happens all the time. First, we have to ask the obvious, like did you check all around? Maybe it’s under the mat or in the mailbox? (This is the delivery version of “It’s definitely plugged in, right? And did you reboot?”). Check with your neighbors—it’s a great ice breaker! Next step would be to ask your post office to check the GPS info on the delivery scan—really! This is a real thing. If they delivered it to the wrong place, they should be able to get it to you. 

If, after all that and/or 14 days, you’re still sad at home without your MIG product, send an email that includes your order number to  info@makeit-grand.com and we will send a *one time* replacement. Since it’s just a one-time thing, we recommend that you’re super careful putting in the address. If you live somewhere that packages tend to walk off, consider having it shipped to your mom’s place or work. 

—Return/Exchange/Refund Policy

I purchased something from MIG I thought I really wanted, but now that it’s here, not so much. Can I return it?
Well that’s disappointing. If it’s clothing, you can definitely return it if it was purchased in the past 21 days, is completely pristine and unused (no cat hair, hasn’t been worn/washed, the dog didn’t eat it, doesn’t smell of smoke, etc) and remains in sellable condition. Once it’s been received and inspected, we will issue a refund. 

Some products, like the conversation decks, can’t be returned—but if you have any questions, definitely reach out. info@makeit-grand.com

*We do not pay the shipping for returned items. We also don’t refund original shipping costs. Shipping is on you, in other words.

I purchased something and I really like it, but…it’s not quite right. In other words, it’s the wrong item, defective, or damaged.

We are so embarrassed! We are all about QC (that’s quality control here in the biz), and we work really hard to make sure everything that goes out is the very best it can be, but once in a great while we make mistakes. Fortunately it only happens once in a very great while.

We are so sorry for whatever the mess up is, and of course we will make it right. Please email us at info@makeit-grand.com, and include your order number.

—Return Order Form—

To return your order, please print out this form, and be sure to include it with your order. Remember, you have to do this within 21 days of purchase and it has to be in new/unused/sellable condition. If you really want it returned, don’t wait to print it, then find out you’re out of ink, or don’t have a printer, then leave it in your trunk until you find it in the spring. (Not that we’ve ever done this). 

Where do you fall on all the ethical stuff?
Like everyone else, we’re doing our best, and we think our best is pretty impressive for a small startup. 

First of all, we are woman-owned, which always feels good to say. 

Our cards are made using recycled papers and soy (and vegetable) inks. Our decks are printed and assembled in the USA.

Our T’s and onesies are ethically made, crafted in a no-sweatshop, sustainable facility certified by the Fair Labor Association and Platinum WRAP.

That feels like a great starting point for us, and we’ll always be working toward the next level of neighborly-ness. We’re all in this together, after all.

How do your Tshirts and onesies fit?
…kind of like snowflakes? It all depends on the shirt, of course. We wear, wash, and dry the shirts at home (experiments=science!), and work hard to communicate the fit and feedback in each product description. We encourage you to pay attention to size descriptions. Also the dimensions for each item are on the product page, and even though it’s a pain, consider measuring yourself and buying the size that you can be sure is a match rather than spitballing or hopeful ordering.
